The Lost Kitten

Once upon a time, in a small town, there lived a little girl named Mia. Mia loved animals, especially kittens. One sunny afternoon, while playing in her backyard, Mia heard a soft meowing sound coming from the bushes.

She tiptoed closer and found a tiny, gray kitten with bright green eyes. The kitten looked scared and hungry. Mia gently picked up the kitten and hugged it close. “Don’t worry, little one. I’ll take care of you,” she whispered.

Mia brought the kitten inside and gave it some milk and a warm blanket. The kitten purred happily and curled up in Mia’s lap. Mia named her new friend Misty.

The next day, Mia made a sign that said, “Found: Gray Kitten” and hung it on the big tree in front of her house. She wanted to make sure Misty wasn’t lost from her family.

A few days later, a kind old lady knocked on Mia’s door. “Have you seen my kitten?” she asked. Mia smiled and brought Misty to the door. The old lady was so happy to see her kitten safe and sound.

“Thank you, Mia, for taking care of Misty,” she said. As a thank you, the lady let Mia visit Misty whenever she wanted. From that day on, Mia and Misty became the best of friends.
